GySgt Anthony L. Ruiz and Company
I am in the Marine Corps, currently stationed in Afghanistan. This is my 3rd deployment overseas, so I have learned what equipment is good in the field. I purchased a Jetboil several years ago, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of civilian equipment. I pulled it out in the field near the beginning of our tour, and all my Marines loved it. We now have over 25 guys in the platoon that have bought one and we all use it on a daily basis over here. In fact one of the Marines had theirs crushed during one of our missions, immediately after we returned he ordered another one.
Sincerely the best piece of field gear I have, as it gives us just a chance to feel "normal" for that brief moment we enjoy food from home or a nice cup of Starbucks coffee. During our last mission, we decided to take a picture to share with you. Not all were on this particular mission, but here it is with 17 of us and our JetBoils.
A military Thanks!I have had my Jetboil PCS for about 18 months and love it! I am currently deployed in Northern Iraq and with the weather getting cooler and the rain that comes with it, my Jetboil is a HUGE morale booster. On any given morning, I cook up 6-8 pots of water for oatmeal, Ramen and coffee. My platoon mates liked it enough that three of them recently purchased their own. I have been an avid backpacker for about 25yrs and own and use roughly 5 different stoves. I doubt I will be using them much more. Thanks for a great product! Jetboil is the best personal cooking system I have ever used. I have used a 220 gram fuel canister around 30 times for boiling water for hot chocolate, Ramen, freeze dried, and winter MREs. It always lights within a few tries. It even worked over here in Afghanistan while it was 10 degrees outside. Cleaning is even easy. This product is amazing. My Marines and I are very thankful.

Thanks Jetboil- The hot chocolate and coffees kept me going on those cold mornings in Bindoon, Perth WA.
SSG Brandon CadyI am currently deployed in Iraq as part of the Surge. I’m stationed and attached to an Iraqi unit in Al Muthada Airfield in eastern Iraq. We have no phones, no internet, no chow hall, no showers or running water. One of my soldiers has your Jetboil Personal Cooking System. The PCS is awesome. I borrow it every day to make coffee or hot chocolate or ramen. Your gear is perfect for these living conditions.
William B. Ramsey, CPT, ENI currently stationed in Iraq. My home station is Fort Richardson, Alaska. And I can say without a doubt that my Jetboil is one of the most useful tools that I have ever owned. From Alaska’s negative 24 degrees to Iraq’s 112 it has never failed to boil water safely and quickly. Thank you for taking the time to design a product that can withstand the abuse I’ve put it through and that can be easily fit into a ruck / pack. I recommend it to everyone I come across.

The Jetboil is an absolute saviour when you’re cold, wet and demoralised. The ability to get a hot drink or meal in under two minutes is a real boost. The Jetboil’s compact nature is its best asset easily packing down into one pouch. The fact that it is your cooker and your mug is a real space and weight saver. My favourite meal to cook in the jetboil is noodles and tinned tuna with some chilli sauce, but only as that is a welcome change to the issue rations.
