The simple answer is "No."  The Sol Ti and Sumo Ti are great lightweight options for those where every ounce counts when travelling.  However, as the cup is made of Titanium, it cannot withstand the higher temperatures associated with melting snow or cooking food.  When used inthis manner, the FluxRing can melt or break off causing the cup to become damaged an no longer safe to use.  That is why the Titanium cups are designed for WATER BOILING ONLY.  If weight is not as big of an issue and you would like a system with the Jetboil Regulator Technology, then the best option is to choose from the aluminum options: Sol Advanced Cooking System or the Sumo with Bowl Set, along with the Zip, Flash and Joule cooking systems.
